Esme's Day at the Park

Recently a miracle happened here in the Seattle area, we had a day without rain or snow!  So while I was at work my sister and her girls took Esme and her cousin Jane over to the park near their house to play.  This was Esme's first time on the swings and as you can tell, she loved it.  I would normally set this to music but I think listening to Esme yell...the entire time she is on the swings...is music enough for me.

Now...I do need to take a second and address her outfit in this video.  First of all, the outfit was not sanctioned by the "Esme Outfit Approval Committee, or EOAC.  This committee is comprised of one person...me.  Second, I am not totally sure who produces these types of clothes for kids.  Third, I am not totally sure who buy's these types of clothes for kids.  And fourth, how in the world did she get both a leopard print coat and tights on in the same day?  Who knows...but luckily for all of us, Esme make's this outfit look good.  Enjoy....

Esme's Special Features

Whenever Esme and I are out and about we get lots of people that comment on what a cute little girl Esme is.  Mostly they comment on her eyes, and deservedly so.  Esme has the most amazing set of peepers out there.  But there are a couple parts of our little E that most people don't see but I love them just the same.

I have to start with her eyes, because they are pretty awesome. And her eyelashes aren't too shabby either.

Next comes her hair.  I have mentioned it before in this blog.  She has the craziest hair on the planet.  It is always going who knows which way but it is not long enough yet to really manage so we are left to just enjoy the madness.

And then there is her super cute little tummy.  It is round and plump and full of love...and food.  Esme was blessed with, among other things, a very healthy appetite, and thank goodness for that!

Lastly, and my personal favorite, her little baby, sausage toes.  It is hard to really see in this photo but she has the chubbiest little toes and I think they look like mini sausage links.
So there you have it, your own guided tour to the in's and out's of our little Esme....

V-Day with E

Esme and I had a very nice Valentines Day together.

I picked her up a couple things and to my surprise she picked me up something as well. She must have been working on her handwriting while I was at work because it is really, really polished.

Esme learns about "Cause and Effect"

As a fantastic little girl trying to learn about the world Esme, or I should say Esme's dad, is learning the concept of "Cause and Effect".

Esme loves bananas!  Really, she loves them.  I think she would eat an entire banana at every meal if we let her.  As demonstrated by this photo.

That is the cause.  The effect of loving bananas so much is demonstrated below.  Please note the extreme concentration...the far off gaze...and the pursed lips.

If you have any question as to what is going on here...you must not have kids :)
