Winter in Utah

Esme Pray's

Hopefully no one will think this is to sacrilegious but I had to record this because it is one of the cutest things Esme does on a daily basis. We never told her what to say she just came up with this little prayer all by herself.  Enjoy....

Esme the Fearless

We took Esme golfing with us the other night and she found that she liked this activity more than watching us golf!

Esme at the Zoo

This fall we have made several trips to the Zoo. The Stovall's gave us season passes and we have loved them.  It is a great gift to give anyone with little kids that love animals!

Esme at dance and a trip to the office

Esme started her dance class last week and she loves it, even though she still wants her mom to be close during the exercises. 

 Onc of the nice things about my office is that we make fresh frozen yogurt each day.  Esme came in for a visit the other day and she loved getting a little treat while she was there!

Wedding Pictures

We will put lot's of pictures of Esme at the wedding up when we get them but for now I thought we could put a couple of pic's of Esme leading up to the wedding.  Stacey's family had a reunion in Preston Idaho and here are a couple of pictures from all the fun we had....

As our time at my mother and father's draws to a close, Esme and I are finding that our emotions are on both ends of the spectrum.  On the one hand we are super excited to start the next part of our lives but we are also very sad to be leaving.  We have had a wonderful time here and we are more grateful to my parents than they will ever know.

4th of July!

We had a wonderful and busy 4th this year.  We started the day with a trip to the Hyrum chuck wagon breakfast and parade. It was a lot of fun and a little strange to watch my daughter run around and grab candy in the exact same spot that I used to run around and grab candy...we then hit the lake with the Jepsen's, not pictured here, which is a tragedy because it was Esme's first time on a boat and she loved it!  She kept saying, Grandpa...go faster!  Then we had a nice dinner at the golf course where Esme got a lovely little lady bug face paint and she tried out the hula hoop!

It was a very fun day!

Esme has become quite the artist.  She loves to go outside on these summer days and let nature inspire her. You will notice at the end of the video she has transitioned to a chair because she thinks the ants that walk around out there are going to get her :)

Memorial Day 2012

Same weather as last year but not quite as difficult.  Thank you Stovall's for a great weekend!

Esme at the park

It has been a while since we had an Esme at the Park post so I thought I would show you all how fearless this little girl has become.  We drive by this park at least once a day and without fail when we do Esme says theses exact works.  "Look, Daddy, a park! I want to go....please, please please!"

I put this song because it is her new favorite...I am finally starting to win the radio battle.

My wonderful niece got married last week so we got Esme a fun little dress just for the occasion.  She refers to it as her princess dress.

Easter 2012

This easter we were very lucky because Esme got to spend it with her best pal Jane.  Jane and her family were in town for her sisters' wedding, pictures to come of Esme at the wedding. So Esme and Jane got fun easter baskets and had a very fun little easter egg hunt in the front yard.  Esme also set a record for most peeps eaten before 11 am church!

Recently Esme was up at her Aunt Lara's and got a mini-makeover.  In the on going battle to control Esme's hair the score is: Esme's hair - A Lot   Everyone Else - 1

Cooking with Esme

Esme has a very independent spirit and with that comes a desire the "help" anyone who is doing just about anything.  The other night we were having a yummy chili dinner and we needed some cornbread.  Esme of course jumped at the chance to help her Nana.

Bedtime for Esme

For anyone who has kids you know that they are often times at their cutest right before you put them to bed.  Esme is no exception.  She has always been a great sleeper and she generally doesn't have any trouble going to bed.  Now our new tradition is to give everyone in the house a hug and kiss before she will go.  So if you ever want a nice Esme hug/kiss, swing by around 7:40 PM.

Each night when I put her to bed I always think to myself, "those are the cutest pj's...why can't you wear them all day long?" I guess she could but I might have CPS called if I did it too many times.  So the next best thing was to share a few of my favorites with you.

And please excuse the hobo hair...we got it remedied...sort of... half-way through the making of this post.

Esme Loves to Run...and Dance

Esme is full of energy and she is finding new ways to show it.  She loves to run around the house and she loves to have me chase her.  She is also into spontaneous dancing...pretty cute!

Recently we had dinner at a dear friend of ours.  They have this very cute little bird and our little Esme was one fearless little girl.  Check it out.

I caught this moment and thought it was fascinating to see how a two year old really relishes a simple thing like a chip..

So I caught this little moment on film.  It was not however the only time that I have found her in the sink! Esme is learning more and more about the boundaries of what her body can do and she is definitely pushing the limits.  I also threw in a fun little moment with her Nana....at least someone is trying to corral her hair!

Fun with the Krivanec's

We have had lot's of fun trips with the Krivanec's over the years, here is an example of one of them. First stop was at the self painting pottery store. Esme got a chance to try out her painting skills.  By her work you can tell that she is into more abstract painting.
