Esme vs The Stairs

So it begins...Esme loves the stairs.  For a while she showed no interest in them and then when we were in Utah over the holidays she began testing them out.  Here is her first attempt at going up the stairs followed by a run up our stairs at home.  What a champ!

And now she loves to go up and down...up and down...up and down...up and down...up and down...you get the point.  But I am super proud of her for working so hard and figuring it out.

Goggles and a B-ullet

For some reason or another Esme loves to put things on her head...not hats mind you, but random things.  Case in point, she loves to put these swim goggles on her head.  She doesn't keep them there for long so the pic is a little blurry but you get the idea.

Esme's cousins were getting a little worried that she was developing a B-ullet (Baby Mullet) so her aunt Kay gave her her first hair cut.  I still have no idea what to do with this kids hair!

Esme's Christmas

Esme's first christmas tree hunt!  You can tell it was successful by the smile on her face!

 You can't tell but Claire, the little girl behind my mom, and Esme have the same outfit on..curtsey of Scott and Nat.  Let's just say that Esme filled her's out rather well...

Needless to say this christmas was pretty rough but I believe that Esme still had a great one.  I believe that Esme can still see Paige and that Paige still gets after her when she needs to.  But I also think that Paige was with us this Christmas and I pray that she will be will us for all our Christmas' to come.  Here are a few pics from Esme's Christmas and our time in Utah.

Sky Lantern

At the end of Esme's birthday party my sister Chris and her family had the very cool idea to light a sky lantern in honor of Paige....it was the perfect night to do it, there was no wind, it was very dark, and no rain or snow so we were able to watch the light for a long time. Who knows, maybe Paige had something to do with that.

Esme's Birthday Party

My sister Chris is kind enough to throw Esme a fantastic birthday party.  It's theme was "Little Cowgirl"  and Esme had a fantastic time! Among other things Esme got a new pink coat, snow pants, and a very hip pair of Ugg Boots...Thanks Ivory's!
