Run Baby Run

Is there anything more cute than a little kid running?  You be the judge.

Thank You

Since I just returned from a long trip I don't have much to post with regards to Esme tonight and I think Karmen has done a fine job keeping everyone updated in my absence.

I want to take use this post to thank all the wonderful people that have been so supportive during the last few months. First let me start with my sister Kay.  She has been wonderful.  She is always willing to help and do whatever it takes to be there for me and for Esme.  Thanks also goes to her family for allowing Esme to come and be part of their family every weekday.  Thanks to my good friends in Snoqualmie, who volunteer their time every week to let Esme come and spend time with them.  Thanks to my mother and father for stepping in to help whenever they are needed. Thanks to Karmen, Diane, and the entire Stovall family for letting Esme eat them out of house and home over the past two weeks.  And thanks to all of you who follow this blog and love and support Esme.  I feel very blessed to have such wonderful people around to help me raise a wonderful little girl.

Thank you

Esme Day ??

I haven't been very good the last few days on getting the blog updated.  This made Esme upset and she made me get on it!

We had a craft night and made some new flip flops!  Most of the flip flops came apart in less time than it took to make them!

Mmmm!  Olives!

On her last day here we went to visit her Momma.  She's the best!

We loved having Esme here.  I'm sad to let her go, but so happy she gets to be back with her daddy.  She really is special girl and I love her like crazy!

Day 7 with Esme

We took the kids to the Optimist Club's fishing derby.  It was a tradition in our family growing up.  Esme enjoyed the grapes Jesse and Tricia's friends brought, but wasn't too interested in the fishing.  Maybe next year??
She did take a little tumble and had some dirt on her face.  I hope her daddy doesn't mind too much.  I left it on there for most of the derby because it was just too cute to wipe off.

Day 6

Every year this momma bird raises her babies on the Stovall porch.  Maybe it's because she knows how good the kids turn out from this place.
The kids love looking at these birds.  They change every day!

Esme Day 5

Esme LOVES playing with her sweet baby cousin, Paige.  Paige was crying and Esme gave her what she knew would help her feel better - chocolate milk in a sippy cup - ASAP!

Esme Day 4

I had no idea how awesome 93.7 KBOZ could be!  We had a dance party with Esme - she was a star!

Day 3 with Esme

I took the very serious responsibility of introducing Esme to Pickle Barrel while she's here.
You're welcome, Esme.   You're welcome.
Love,
Auntie Karmen

Memorial Day Weekend

What does Memorial Day weekend really mean?  Throughout my life it has meant many different things.  When I was young it was a day to go up to my grandma and grandpa's house in Hyrum and run around with my cousins.  Then I met Paige and it became the weekend that we got in engaged/an annual fishing trip to Yellowstone Park.  Now it is a day to remember those things that I have lost and look forward to the reunion that will heal my broken heart.

Esme and I went to Montana for Memorial Day this year and every year now.  We had a wonderful time with the Stovall Family and Esme fit right in with a fun and rowdy group of little kids.  We started out in Bozeman, when to Yellowstone Park for some camping, fishing, and snow, and then returned to Bozeman to spend some time at Paige's final resting place.  Enjoy...

As you can tell, it snowed on us for most of the trip....not good
This was the tent we slept in with two of the Stovall Families and yes that is a smoke stack coming out of the tent.

"Dad, I think I am being watched...."
On Monday we stopped into the Bozeman Cemetery to pay our respects

Day 1 with Esme

We want to make sure James can get a bit of Esme each day while he is away.  Here is our first full day with Sweet Esme.  Here is the picture of Daddy's Girl in Grampa's camper.  We LOVE having her!
